Almond-Berry Overnight Oatmeal Bowl With Planet Oat Oatmilk

Let's kick off the day with one of these creamy and wholesome oatmeal bowls made with oat milk and topped with fresh organic berries, crunchy almond slices, and a drizzle of honey

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Planet OatThe opinions and text are all mine.

Have you ever tried overnight oats?!?
If not, this is something you really want to check out, especially if you are as addicted to these healthy bowls as I am
Overnight oats are the perfect breakfast to have ready and waiting for you in the morning. It only takes a few minutes of my time in the evening to mix up. And all I have to do when I wake up (other than making myself a steamy hot cup of cappuccino) is to top with my favorite fruit, seeds and nuts. And an optional, but highly recommended, drizzle of honey.
I'm not sure why I just called it a breakfast bowl because for me it's really an after-workout bowl, or a too-late-to-make-a-sandwich-for-lunch bowl, or a I-shouldn't-eat-ice-cream-this-afternoon bowl ...  you get the idea. I seriously eat this any time the crave hits me.
As you can see, it looks (and tastes) even better when relaxing by the pool :)

You can make overnight oatmeal with any milk (dairy or not), but my favorite for this recipe is oat-milk.
Planet Oat Oatmilk gives that extra flavor and extra thickness for a super creamy and delicious result. All of it without lactose or dairy.
Oh yes! You heard me right, this creamy milk is free from dairy, and also peanuts, soy and gluten. It's Non-GMO project verified, has no added sugar, and  makes an excellent source of calcium and vitamins A and D. I picked mine up at my local Superior Grocers!
It's fantastic just by itself, foaming perfectly in my cappuccino, great with cereals or in smoothies. And of course, it tastes amazing in my oatmeal bowl.
Visit the Planet Oat website here to find Planet Oat Oatmilk at our local Superior Groceres! From 6/27 to 7/12 you can save $1 off any Planet Oat at your local Superior Grocers.
And here is the recipe for you! It makes one huge bowl (about two servings, but depends on how much you can eat!).
You can also place it in little to-go jars like the one I have here. My kids love oatmeal as much as I do, so I put one of these their lunch boxes for a filling and healthy mid-morning snacks. Sounds perfect, right?!? And oh-so pretty.

INGREDIENTS:

YIELD: 2 servings
    • 1 1/4 cups (300 ml) Planet Oat Oatmilk, Original
    • 1 cup (about 90 gr) old fashioned rolled oats
    • 2 tablespoons almond slices
    • 1 tablespoon honey (plus extra to drizzle on top if you wish)
    • Fresh strawberries, blueberries, raspberries and blackberries for the top
    • Pumpkin seeds

PREPARATION:

TIME: 5 minutes to assemble, at least 4 hours in the refrigerator
Combine Planet Oat Oatmilk, oats, 1 tablespoon of almonds and 1 tablespoon of honey in a large enough bowl and mix well.
Place oats in the refrigerator for at least 4 (or best if overnight).
When ready to serve, mix well and top with fresh fruits, one tablespoon of almond slices and the pumpkin seeds if using.
Drizzle with more honey if you'd like.

If you rather eat oatmeal warm, you can simply microwave it for about 1 minute at medium power before topping with the fruit.

You can store in the refrigerator for 2 days before eating.
